The late My Opera Community friend and blogger Brian Francis Pretorius from South Africa. I miss him so much. He died a few years ago. Quite the marvelous friend.
After Opera Software killed off the online community, Brian and I moved to G+ (Google Plus) where we continued to have a good time. Then Google killed that off.
We continued on on Facebook, but the online fun was doomed. This WordPress has been kind of an archive.
I also archived my G+ activity on MeWe. MeWe is a closed community meaning you have to log in to see anything. These days I’m OK with that.
Brian Francis was fond of conventional telephone and used to call me a lot. I also called him. He was a heck of an ambassador for human beings.
Run long, run strong, dear MeWe ❤️

I’m not particularly a Parler fan, but I sometimes visit sites of which I am not to get viewpoints and experience an alternative environment. Silicon Valley’s desire and power to destroy Parler is alarming.
Many I know cheered the removal of Parler from the net by spreading false information as justification, often by citing half-truth articles two to three times removed from source. Few of my contacts on Facebook vet anything, especially if they are the ones posting all day.
Some of the same people have criticized MeWe, one by saying that it is owned by evangelicals. It’s not, but my response would be, “I don’t care. I want to know how they operate it.”
Parler is down. What’s next? Telegram? MeWe?
I remember when a friend said, “you know that MeWe* is owned by evangelicals.”
*MeWe is a social network
Me: Thing is, MeWe is not owned by evangelicals, and even if true, all I care about is if it is censored.
Friend said, “Friends told me it was. I don’t have time to vet everything, so I have to rely on my friends.”
Me: I give up.
MeWe imported 4516 posts of mine from Google Plus (G+). I think the other 982 were posts that were non-public.
I didn’t realize that I had so many. I do social media posting, in part, as therapy for myself. I guess I’ve needed a lot of therapy.

Being a G+ (Google Plus) nutcase for years, I am pleased that there will be a way to move the data (to MeWe).
When My Opera community closed years ago, I was thankful that WordPress picked up that import.
Still deciding where to go with G+ closing next year. I was a long-term fan of the My Opera Community. It closed years ago, so I primarily went to Google Plus. Now it’s going away. Facebook makes me too sad. I recently deleted all my posts and just sometimes lurk now.
Wharrr to go?
Some combination, maybe.
I’m beginning to think that MeWe leadership is lunkhead city. Do I trust this network?
Ethnicity and sexuality (and even religion for some) are preferences? Oh, brother.
