multiple tomato summers
As tomato sandwich season starts to arrive, I miss “tomato woman” who used to live near me. She had a self-service table in her front yard with sign, scale, cash box, and bags. $1/pound (.45kg). What a steal.
I often used the self-service, though it was better when she was home, as she would toss in lots of extra tomatoes and fresh jalapeños making the price/pound even lower.
She was a Spanish speaker, too, so I got free practice when she was home.
After several summers of good eatin’ and fun shooting the breeze with her, the house was empty one day. I’m hoping it was for reasons she/they wanted. I ate SO MANY of those juicy tomatoes, plus a lot of white bread and mayo.
just hide TF out
Of the places I’ve been, these would be best for laying low and mental repair, i.e. just hiding TF out:
— Guadalajara, Mexico
— Bologna, Italy
— Oz Campground, Unadilla, Georgia, USA

even more soothing
Last night it took one tequila soother to get to sleep. Tonight, I need two!
ZERO risk of dependency.

more on the social media – a la mewe
Others that have repeatedly invaded my sweet dog group en masse on MeWe, they just can’t seem to help it:
— Asian soft-porn spammers aiming at men
— men from all over the world using a dog-lovers group to harass women
— “gun people” who use a dog group to brag about their concealed carrys
— dog breeders, especially if “bullies” is part of the “business” name. Saying “adopt don’t shop” or “puppy mill” will cause them to melt TF down.
— promoters of reputation-troubled businesses, things like oils, life coaching, MLM (mulit-level marketing).
When I see signs of these, I get hair-trigger on the boot button. Sometimes I have made mistakes.
social media management
I’m amused when somebody friends me on MeWe because I manage a group they are in, which makes my personal posts appear on their timeline, then they see one of my LGBT posts go by, so they unfriend me but stay in the group. I then mentally mark them for scrutiny. 🙂 👢
When people unfriend for that reason, I just call it “trash that takes itself out”. Friend requests that come in without some lead up are usually rubbish anyway. 🗑
mothers day
Mother’s Day memory.
Towards the very end of my mother’s life, one of her favorite lunches was a McDonald’s smoothie and a large order of fries. I would get it as takeout for her.
She wasn’t very lucid at that time, couldn’t eat very much, and had trouble controlling her hands, so we managed the McD takeaway together. Followed with a coffee, she looked content and felt good.
