dogs!

Elderly Sasha on the left who just had a good checkup with the vet today.

Younger JJ on the right who is suffering from a touchy tummy today after gobbling rabbit droppings in the yard. I think he’d prefer to take most of his meals that way regardless of the consequences. I might have to start taking him out on the leash.

Old grocery bag collection from 2018.

internal problems

Years ago after watching a movie with a group of people, we started talking about current events.

I wasn’t towing the conversational line correctly, so I was asked by someone, “You mean you don’t believe all 17 of the US intelligence agencies?”

When I said, “no, I don’t believe any of them,” their eyes got big as saucers and I heard the wind rush out of their lungs.

They stammered, “well, well, well, I’m so glad you’re here” while grimacing and shaking.

I knew at that moment my time there was drawing to a close. Sometimes I still go back, but I get a lot of gaslighting. One of them even said to me, “when people act like you do, my experience is that it’s usually internal problems.”

Yep! lol. Glad to have those internal problems.

things with company logo

There’s that company that advertises on TV that prints company swag. With a few exceptions, there are not many people that want that stuff: cheap low-quality items printed with your employer’s name so you have to see that at home.

Much better: cash bonus or gift card.

journalism

I amuse myself when I go, “OMG that’s hot! Oh, journalist for teleSUR.”

Yeah, I’ll follow it.

I should have gone into journalism, but I never felt I had the fortitude for it.

the dogs will seed

Freshly washed bath mat, AKA pee pad, just put down in the bathroom. The one in the other picture will be in shortly to “seed” it.

stand with ukraine wine

Oh, grow up. I know which of my friends would buy this shit.

Activism through wine drinking. 😂

80’s friendship memory

Thinking about Chrysler/Dodge (something I wrote elsewhere), decades ago the woman who worked the door at the big gay nightclub on Arnold Street (Wham/Encore!) asked me if she could take me out to lunch the next day in her new car. She wanted me to see it.

She was real sweet, and we liked each other, but I assumed I was just another one of the thousands of faces she saw at the door. Why me?

Even though I didn’t understand the invitation, I readily accepted. She showed up the next day at my place in her new Dodge Diplomat.

It was nice, and I paid many compliments to her for the kind invitation and her car purchase.

All the while I was asking myself who TF would buy a 1980’s Dodge Diplomat, especially a new one. I thought it was weird. Not my car, not my purchase, so if that’s what she wanted, I was pleased for her.

We had a nice lunch out. Fun! Wonderful woman who seemed to care a lot about people. I think she was straight but did tons to see the crowd through the 80’s AIDS horrors.

mastodon / twitter

I just want to connect with people.

With the controversies happening over Twitter (IDGAF, really), a lot of people are trying Mastodon, which can kinda/sorta resemble it.

I’ve been on Mastodon for awhile. I can be great. It can be tedious. It takes some work and getting used to. I access through a very nice “instance” (server) that I found after several that didn’t work out.

I use a web browser on desktop and the Tusky app on mobile.

Holler if you want to find me on Mastodon.
