facebook pickles

Having to brace myself with a breakfast serving of pickles before logging on to Facebook because it hurts that bad. 🥒

seriously intellectual programming

How to remember to record “that zombie shit” and other important programming.

It can get serious.

out-of-state search turns local instead

I was trying to dig up anti-gay dirt yesterday on an out-of-state church that somebody kept praising on Facebook. I didn’t find what I was looking for. Instead, several local churches in Greensboro kept coming up in the search results.

Whatever. There’s something to be said for churches that have put that stuff right on their web page. Better to know than not.

bux picker upper

Just having a pick-me-up before starting an afternoon shift. For once I have a short 5-hour shift starting in the afternoon rather than a long one at 3 in the morning. They will get me back later.

espresso machine

That’s a cute little espresso machine. It’s tempting me to order something.

I had to look it up.

FAEMA: “Factory Electro Mechanical and Associated Equipment” (“Fabbrica Apparecchiature Elettro Meccaniche e Affini”

Now ya know!

sweet sixteen

Sweet sixteen
Ain’t he peachy keen

Me at 16 when I was still a skinny little chicken. 🐥

Who wouldn’t love such a sweet thing as that? 😁

I had a nicely corrupted mind, and loved sneaking down to the back of the yard to smoke my clandestine cigarettes where nobody could see me. 🚬😈

attempting orange julius at home

Trying to make the famous Orange Julius at home. I used this recipe.

It tastes kinda-sorta like the original. Interesting anyway. Too sweet.

I used the recipe at the link. I’d say to reduce sugar by 1/3 to 1/2, increase vanilla extract a little. Adding rum might be fun if you want a cocktail.

We used soy instead of dairy. At the mall, they would add a banana for 50 cents. Could do that, too.

gloria

I was just listening to the 1982 “Gloria” by Laura Branigan that was a huge gay anthem.

The original was by Umberto Tozzi (1979). It would play in the clubs, too, in Italian.

For me, Branigan’s was the thrilling one. People would fight to get on the dance floor. I danced with many a cutie with love in my eyes with Gloria roaring away.
