Trying to make the famous Orange Julius at home. I used this recipe.
It tastes kinda-sorta like the original. Interesting anyway. Too sweet.
I used the recipe at the link. I’d say to reduce sugar by 1/3 to 1/2, increase vanilla extract a little. Adding rum might be fun if you want a cocktail.
We used soy instead of dairy. At the mall, they would add a banana for 50 cents. Could do that, too.

Your adventure has me wanting to get some vanilla extract. No particular reason, just for drinking.
I was curious about it, so I had a little sip. Quite bitter on its own. It probably wouldn’t take much to smooth it out and be drinkable.
