Preparing some acorn squash as part of dinner with some Science Diet (dog food) picturesquely off to the side. Human and dog dinners often get prepared simultaneously.
I saved and roasted the seeds. They came out ok. Crunchy and yummy.

When we first went online with home dialup in the 90’s, we loved Orville Glockmyer’s Banana on Geocities, AKA The Bananaboy.
It finally hit me to look on the WaybackMachine at the Internet Archive.
Everybody had a Geocities page in them days.

Look at that sale! $4.99 a can. That converts to $3.07 a pound. Well worth buying even though it’s the new reduced-size can.
In the other picture, the can on the left is the outgoing size, 30.5 oz. (864 g). The can on the right is the new size, 26 oz. (737 g).
This is what is often referred to as the “grocer’s shrink ray,” even though it comes from the manufacturer. The standard unit of coffee used to be a pound. Now some of those little packages have as little as 10 oz. You could blow on the shelf and they would scatter like the flying seeds of a dandelion.
Other products where the shrink ray has gone to the ridiculous extreme: orange juice and ice cream. A lot of time is spent styling up those containers to make them look like they hold more than they do. The ice cream, especially, can be pumped full of air.

Need to link VPOTUS debate fly to Putin somehow. “Moscow” in Russian is written “Москва,” which looks like “mosca” (fly) in Spanish, so there. It’s a clear link.
“Mary’s Gone Crackers.”
She did the best she could with what she had to work with.
My family tree involves multiple instances of Georgia crackers. 😁

TFW a video about the Downtown Greenway in only posted on Facebook, and all I get is this.

Online food recipes can be painful. A layer dip recipe can have many screens of a monumental story before hitting the ingredient list.
Then, once you read it and see the ingredients, you can tell it’s weak and the author never made it. It’s just something to get reader ratings.
Then again, some people like background and a feeling to go with it, so ok.
I do better with church and other civic cookbooks bought at antique stores. Recipes lean towards simple and most likely have been peer reviewed.
I think this has plausible deniability as a social-distance separator, but I suspect it might be hostile design aimed at homeless. Usually hostile-design benches have higher hoops, so I don’t know. It drew my eye as a bit odd. Maybe it’s dual-purpose.

Me. 👍 🎯

Brian and I enjoying the wine special at Olive Garden. 🍷
Cheap, sweet, fruity, tastes like pop. There’s a lot to like.
Confetti! Sweet Pink. It’s Italian!
