investigative journalist robert parry died saturday

Born June 24, 1949 – died January 27, 2018.

I admired him greatly. He is one of the great ones. Since 1995, his website has been an Internet beacon.

From an e-mail I got from the site today:

Robert Parry, editor and publisher of Consortiumnews.com, died peacefully Saturday evening. In this tribute, his son Nat Parry describes Robert’s unwavering commitment to independent journalism.

double espacio – to do or not

Chatting with a friend this morning, I popped this one out.

Serious hard-core important question. Do you double space after periods and colons? I do, though I might stop and cannot make the decision on my own. It’s from those days of running an IBM Selectric.

My friend said:

Double spacing is correct keyboarding, but I’ve long stopped doing it. If I were submitting something for publication, I’d probably double space.

I liked the answer. Double spacing burns though the occasional character limitation I encounter. Then we discussed a love for the Oxford comma. I don’t know JackSh about grammar or punctuation, but I still like to play.

2018 girl scout vegan cookies – if you wanna

If you want vegan Girl Scout cookies for 2018, the list looks good. While I am finding the Peanut Butter Sandwiches to be close to nasty, the Lemonades are superb. I’d almost swear them to be French. The others I have not tried. Check the maker. Different parts of the USA might have one other than ABC.
