if you could retire tomorrow

If you could stop working tomorrow and still have a guaranteed income, where would you like to have a place?

For me, some of these might do:

Hmmm, México seems to be a winner.

Required of any location:

  1. Strong Internet connection.
  2. Freak friends.

  1. Вот в том то и дело не передает смысл

  2. Hello, if…, and if…, then…I agree with Jerry, Dorothee and Steve and those who would like to travel. Some places (without the necessity of the "if"): Re-visit Crete. You'll find such lovely places there. A must in any case – meet real people and be present."Required of any location: Strong Internet connection. Freak friends."I like that idea slackwrdave. With a strong Internet connection you even can work while enjoying different places:-)Take careAndrew

    You're welcomed 🙂

  5. I live and work in Dublin Ireland and I would love to escape from all this work bad weather rescission ect but still no flights to MARS

  6. I am retired military, but I'm only 47. I am working full time, saving $$$. My wife is Thai, we built a farm and house in Thailand. When my son finishes school (he's 10 now) and moves out… I quit, we're gone, see you in Korat 😎

  7. I want to live in Nova Scotia,…living on the hill, ..cool..chilly..hehh

  8. I have bought a plot on the moon. There will be residential complexes by the time I retire.

Hopefully the people will be nice and not look down upon the Earth. 😆

  10. Of course, my earthian friend.

  11. Well guys! Who is colonising the Moon?

Who sold you it? I'd be weary of anyone trying to sell any parts of the Moon, Mars, Space, etc.

  13. I hope you didn't pay more than a couple of dollars or euros for it. It's not worth much. A better place would be one of my home moons (we have 4). The 3rd one has an atmosphere that is mostly helium and about 8% oxygen with a few other harmless gasses included in very small amounts. There are even lakes and rivers, but no growing things, yet. Hard to find plants that grow on helium and exude oxygen, but we are working on it.

  14. Are you lunatics, guys? Which time are you living in? We are already 6 billion. We have not much space left on the earth. The only space we can look into now is the outer space. By the time the sun becomes a red giant, we'll have to find a new solar system and a new earth. And by the time the adromeda galaxy collides with our milkyway we'll have to migrate to a new galaxy. It's the question of the survival of our species.http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Indian-buys-plot-on-moon-for-140/articleshow/1063089.cmshttp://www.newscientist.com/article/mg15520967.000-forum–reaching-for-the-moon.htmlMr Garrison, you can send me the brochures. Though I am not interested in the moon on the earth, I will give them a consideration. 😀

  15. So… From looking at your links, it seems owning plots on the moon is still likely to be a bogus affair! Even the Indian guy doesn't know if his deed is legal or not…. I'd think the OST say's it all for now until some other international law is put into action regarding celestial bodies…. When it boils down to it. I'd imagine that what ever claims any individual has, they will always be over ruled by the ruling elite anyway.

or eminent domain!http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imminent_DomainThis law has been perverted to the point to where your house can be torn down to make a parking lot for a business, or the mayor's brother's baseball stadium, etc.On the moon, that Apollo garbage will have to be raked aside for a new CVS pharmacy or the like.

  17. Eminent domain!! That's a sly bit of thinking that thought that one up!I guess anybody that has a moon plot situated on prime mining territory can say goodbye to their ownership before they ever get to the moon to build their retirement moon bubble with lead lining…."Wow man! That's some serious cosmic rays" I hear them saying!

  18. Kiran, as far as brochures is concerned, we haven't developed any yet, but I will schedule you on the next visitor's flight sometime in the next century or so. The confirmed schedule has not been released yet, but probably by 2022 we will have it. I think they plan to take the scenic route through the pleiades. Let me know if you want to go. Plan to be gone around 840 of our months. We have a stop over for s of our months on a small planet somewhere in Orion.

  19. The old Al Jolson song: "It isn't raining rain you know, it's raining moon beams"??

  20. That's exciting. 840 months = 70 years? But don't worry. I would have converted myself into a cyborg in a couple of decades. :p

  21. Can I watch?

  22. I would live right where I live now, beautiful Playa Del Carmen Mexico! Maybe a few months a year in Montreal Canada, my birthplace!

What a wonderful area. Sun, sea, and the best food anywhere. :chef:  🙂

  24. The best of the best!!!!

  25. Well Anywhere in Vietnam and NZ. Although I haven't started working yet, so no retirement. 😆

  26. Indonesia is also a good option.

  27. That was worst news I heard. I could not make do with my pension. If it was happened I would have stayed in the remote town like Tobelo North Halmahera , Maluku Indoneia

  28. Poor man , You can't find masala dosa and samosa !! except you come..

  29. Masala dosa and Samosa is also available in my place 🙂

  30. How much you know about Indonesia:)

  31. Indonesia! They're ripping down their forests and killing off the Sumatran Orangutan to produce palm oil so people in the west can have their "vegetable oil" for all their food stuffs….Funny thing is though, most of the recipes containing palm oil should have butter in them instead!

  32. @Sean you are right about the recipe thing.

  33. Well Suragus, I know a good deal about Indonesia. I used to have a distance relationship with a girl in Indonesia.

  34. @Manpret,Sean.Could you give me your suggestion how to halt deforestation , so that we can live together on the clean air where animals enjoy and get sufficient food supply to eat peacefully on their habitat .

  35. @ Suragus Well that's entirely up to you man. Try to raise other people about the cause, awareness is all that it takes. You should start at home level and go further. I mean first tell everything like the bad effects of deforestation to your family and then to your neighbors and then tell them to spread the word.

  36. While socializing awareness of keeping natural environment we face against the untouchable hands with greedy and corruptable trait local authorities for the reason of people prosperities

  37. Well that's a trouble almost in every developing country. Authorities whether on local level or some other level take social awareness as a threat. So it's most probable that they will interfere somehow, but you have to keep going and must remain firm on your decision.

    Italy, without a doubt

  39. Meaning of course that one would have enough money to begin a new life to your own discretion, like a military duffel bag full of packed hundred dollar bills all legal. I'd begin in the water way streets of Venice, Italy. after a couple of full moons eyes boating the streets with my new found soul mate female of course, we buy a full floor apartment furnish it with antiquities beyond imagination. Hire a watcher to keep it safe while we fly to Switzerland to get safe deposit boxes & international bank accounts, 4 buying gold, returning 2 Venice.

  40. Sounds like work to me. 😆

  41. I would like to live my remaining years, in Ireland. To be where my blood runs through the country side.

  42. For me one of these would do:Trondheim (Norway)Glasgow (Scotland)Wellington (New Zealand)Hamburg (Germany)But first of all I'd like to travel around the world… maybe sailing?

  43. i saw ur profile it was a kind pf great and i decided to knw wats up may i get to knw u better days all
