blame canada

Brian and I watched the opening ceremonies tonight for the Winter Olympics. I enjoyed seeing so many Canadian flags in the air. It really is a unique and stylish flag.

NBC could not resist frequent commercial breaks during the Parade of Nations. I guess they ran the commercials only when the "lesser countries" were coming out. :p

Everybody feels bad for Nodar Kumaritashvili, the Georgian luger. 😦

US Vice President Joe Biden was there with his *foxy* wife Jill. πŸ˜€

Lastly, I wish each country would prohibit its flag bearer from chewing gum while on parade. It was amazing how many of the flag carriers were smacking away, mouths open, like cows on a cud, while representing their country. How cheeky!

OK, I'm starting an entire week off beginning right now.

I amaze myself at how many times I have done the same thing. I sit down to watch something that I have planned on seeing, and the moment it starts, I pass out asleep. There's something magical about that sofa. It's like a tranquilizer. This isn't a recent phenomena either. When I was in my 20's, I tried to watch the movie Amadeus about a dozen times. As soon as that thing was rolling, I'd be out. It got to where I could use it as kind of a sleeping pill.

  3. It is a two week party here in Vancouver. We were in the city yesterday and it was nuts. A party at home last night for the ceremonies. So many countries have hospitality tents with beer, and so little time. Ireland has 6 athletes and the biggest Party tent in the city

  7. @Dave chewing gum in public is not very pretty…I have to say :D@ CoxyAh ha!So it's true…the Irish do have a team. We were wondering about that last night when we passed by Irish House…so what events are they taking part in?

  8. The Irish have a cross country skier, 2 Alpine Skiers, Bobsleigh and Lugehttp://www.vancouver2010.com/olympic-athletes/index_cf-PU.html?cat6=&cat1=43178&q=–+Keywords+–I think the size of the pary tent is because everyone is Irish at heart.

  9. Bryan,I don't know how you dropped off my friend's list, but I'd like to fix it.I was adjusting the list earlier this week on Opera Mini and I don't think link clicks always match where the pointer is.

  10. I think I accepted your request. Cheers

  11. Well done Canada, happy valentine day
