It seems like my city, and so many others, are now surrounded by giant gray and white featureless, usually windowless, buildings. Not that many seem occupied now. Many have signs out front that say “available” or “hiring soon.”
My first suspicion is that it is some kind of corporate giveaway. Don’t just let them go tax free, build their building, too. I don’t know that, but you know.
I got excited when an org I like sent an e-mail with link “download our summer guide here.”
Why not just attach a PDF to the e-mail, BUT NOOO, it’s a PDF wrapped up in a digital publishing platform, so there’s no way to download. Platform is issuu.
I had to manipulate the screen several times to get the document viewable. Nasty.
When I need health care, the first thing I think of is shopping and getting a reward. More stupid games to play. Health care as shopping, like picking out a shirt at a department store. Having chest pains? Wait! I need to shop a reward.
Who am I going to vote for in upcoming elections? Who/whatever can crash all this shit the fastest.

I was having a Facebook addiction that I wanted to tame, then this current popular beloved-by-many war starts up. My friends turn into 24-hour compulsive clickmonkeys of propaganda, mostly NPR, CNN, and a few others. My timeline filled up with it.
It maxed me out mentally, plus I wanted to walk away from years of my embarrassing profile on Facebook, so I did the delete procedure. It takes Facebook 30 days to “start” (per them) the deletion process.
I wait five weeks and decide I would like to go back with a limited low-key snooper profile to keep an eye on a few things. It’s impossible. Trying to vary the registration information after the first two tries failed didn’t work. FB picks up on it and blocks me. My latest attempt worked for days before getting the block message.
Either it is prohibited to ever return with a new profile, or somebody is reporting me for something bogus. FB’s review team is so low quality that blocks rarely get overturned for any reason. I’ll see.
Anyway, I guess I can never go back. That’s OK. I can find other things to do. I’ll miss some of the locals.
The message:
We received your information If we still find that your account didn’t follow our Community Standards, it will remain disabled. We’re always looking out for the security of people on Facebook, so until then you can’t use your account.
I took five weeks off from Facebook and came back with a new profile to leave a lot of my history behind.
As I add some old friends back, my timeline has heavily filled up with posts 100% in line with the US government with compulsive repetition of The Hill, NPR, CNN, etc. Such warmongers, all of them, just loving it.
It’s distressing.
I’ll keep everybody as friends but will unfollow the posts so I don’t have to look at them.
I’m not going to completely leave Facebook. I want to keep an eye on a few things.
