irregardless of the 33 years

I was driving around Raleigh, North Carolina, tonight looking for some food. I thought of a restaurant near central prison that I had not patronized for 33 years, The Irregardless Cafe. Back in '79 it was more of a freaky hippie place. Now it's more upscale but still freaky and cool. The dining room manager, Dodge, seated me near the bar. Dodge is cute.

Anyway, after a few minutes I realized that I was sitting at the same table Hans and I had exactly 33 years before when he broke my heart and left me. I put my head in my hands and wept.

čśÇ čść JUST KIDDING!

There was no Hans and no breakup. Well, there was a Hans, but we never went together.

The true parts of the evening:

  • It, indeed, had been 33 years since I had dined there.
  • It really is near central prision.
  • I had the eggplant moussaka and a pumpkin ale, then left. No weeping.
  • Dodge really is cute.
