A beautiful 1971 Volkswagen Beetle seen in South Carolina. Somebody has put a lot of love into this one. It was pristine inside and out. Even the color looks original. The 1971 was one of my favorite years for this car. Most of the refinements had been designed into them at that point, but it was still a little before the less-pretty, in my opinion, Super Beetle years.
I loved driving them. I liked the feel of the steering wheel and stick shift, and the throaty rumble of the engine. I have driven them all over Mexico.
I like it !! But, the 2 horses by citroen is a very good !!

I saw your find on FB. We like fun things. :)My brother had a 1963 Beetle. It was a fun car. Mexico was the last country in which they were made. I always rented them while there up until about 2002. The only problem was they had no A/C. That was hard to be without down near Guatemala.I think the last year for USA production was 1977? Mexico had new ones until 2003.I miss 'em.
