Actually he was framed. He's drinking the water. The Fat Tire is mine. All just another trip to the pub.

  2. Love the Fat Tire!

  3. I passed those in the beer aisle today and almost bought some. Perhaps after payday.

  4. That beer is looking real good.On the glass I see: BELGIUM. That's the country of the master brewers for ages. I'm drinking a "CHIMAY" right now, a dark one.

The New Belgium Brewing Company's ties to Belgium aren't very tight according to the wikipedia article: "The Fat Tire recipe originates from a co-founder's bicycle trip through Belgium from brewery to brewery."That could mean anything from a serious investigative trip to just getting drunk a few times in Belgium. πŸ˜† Breweries love to have, or love to claim to have, a link to the Old World due to the fine reputation of many old processes that originated there.Anyway, New Belgium makes very good stuff.

Both are very legitimate ways… :drunk:

  7. I'm just slipping a pint of Skol past my throat. It was all I could afford in the supermarket earlier.

If you come to the USA, you will eventually drink some cheap PBR. Get ready to sit on the toilet. :yikes: Lots of people love it. πŸ˜† Seriously!"In the can" is the most popular serving device.

PBR is the Proletariat's beer, and it's in no danger of being replaced by coffee any time soon as Olympia's favorite breakfast drink!

  10. I'm actually salivating for a glass of PBR already

    Miller light, anyone? πŸ˜†

  12. Speaking of cans, usually I don't like canned beer unless camping, then it's many times more convenient and much lighter. When the city has a festival, like 4th of July, the beer gardens serve beer in large aluminum chiller cans that look like small jugs. They make even the American water-beer taste wonderful.Beer is always a good thread on any blog.

    LOL. Indeed.

I just don't get light American beer. Regular is light, light is very light. Those new 64 calorie beers, or the "ultras", are so nasty they give me the shivers.Miller came out with a Chelada (beer with a hint of lime). I thought that was very Mexican and assumed I'd like it. Nope, horrible.I do, however, truly enjoy MGD (Miller Genuine Draft). VERY good!

I'll have to give that a try. I generally go for American microbrews, grand brand names scare me. :yikes:

  18. Leooooo! πŸ™‚ I like it when you drop by.

  19. So, I went ahead and broke down for a Fat Tire Amber Ale tonight. While it's no Fish Tale Amber Ale, I have to say it's very good. I can overlook the fact that it's not organic. It has almost a sweet hoppy taste and strange toasty aftertaste, but it's not bitter like an IPA. I'm no fan of IPAs.Actually, Total Wine & More in North Greensboro or on High Point seem able to order Fish Tale for you.

You got it. That's where we buy all our beer, wine, ice, etc. I even get my MGD's there.I've seen Fish Tale on menus sometimes but have not yet tried one. I'll keep an eye out for it.New Belgium Brewing makes a winter seasonal I like called "2 below". Yummy.

No kidding?!? It is becoming a small world indeed. That's pretty awesome.
