RE: Oslo.
I was out all day with my mother, then took a little trip to a neighboring city, then came home to watch some recorded TV. All day I was insulated from the usual news sources.
Later that night, I punch up Yahoo and a few others. It was like a kick in the stomach. It made my head spin to think this had gone on all day, and I didn't hear until almost the end of the day.
Yep, what a tragedy. :worried:

Because it is hard to impossible to prove a direct cause and effect relationship, there is an entire industry dedicated to keeping these games going. Everybody who likes the games cheerfully chants the expected lines. Heck, when I did more gaming, I did it too. I'd say "no effect whatsoever" while deep down I knew they weren't healthy. In a similar vein, I still chant the line, "downloading pirated mp3's actually makes me BUY MORE music". :jester:
It's one week later now and it still hits me in the stomach.Today I read an article about Norway, they put a stop on selling violent games and dvd's and so on. Now that's sensible thinking: every well thinking human being is aware of this connection mixing up fiction and reality, but no one dare to take a stand against it. I think it's a brave move, Norway!
