stomach ache

I woke up with a roaring stomach ache. I think all I'll be able to eat for awhile is Cheerios. They never fuck with my stomach.

Am I really that close to joining the apple sauce, cling peaches, and cottage cheese crowd?

Hoping for the ability to drink a beer tonight.

Other difficulties: I chipped a tooth last night while eating some nuts. My tongue is now sore from playing with it. The tooth looks like it might be fixable with a buff and reshape from the dentist. I hope it doesn't cost a fortune.

What's next? At least these are little things. A friend of mine broke his ankle two months ago and is still barely moving about. Another friend is going for a colonoscopy on Monday. I actually enjoyed mine. :jester:

  3. I enjoyed the IV anesthesia. They told me what was in it, Valium and a few other things. I felt great for 3 days.

Did you have to ask for 'em?

No. It was part of the IV cocktail that knocked me out for the procedure. There were no take-home meds. For some reason the euphoria lasted for 3 days. It was tremendous euphoria, very enjoyable.

  6. I wish the UK NHS had knocked me out for the procedure!

I was fully conscious. Every five years is what I was told. Welcome to the 40's. *shudder*

  8. I'm not sure I could make it through if not under sedation, plus the sedation is just plain fun.One friend with whom I went to get his sat up and talked to me for several minutes after the sedation was wearing off. Finally he looked at me and asked, "by the way WHERE AM I?" It's funny what happens in the short time before consciousness really returns.I was so afraid that I was going to yell out something embarrassing while my sedation was wearing off.
