It's Ubuntu Netbook Remix 10.04, Lucid Lynx.
It was something to do during a tranquil weekend while sipping a beer. The new Ambiance and Radiance desktop themes are very pleasing. Another nice thing (not new) about Ubuntu Netbook Remix (now known as Ubuntu Netbook Edition) is a desktop daemon called Maximus which automatically maximizes and un-decorates windows, thus saving space on a small netbook screen. You gotta love anything with the name "Maximus." 😀
As usual, it runs like a dream.

My desktop owns yours! 😀 I prefer the classic Gnome look over the "Remix" edition. 🙂
gnome with cairo dock !! its a bliss !!
Looks good to me  Something for the eye and running like a dream? Perfect.
"Maximus" ….Made me remember about Biggus Dickus XD
awesome. I haven't really messed with the Netbook Editions, considering I don't have a "net"book. I could put it on a regular laptop, but idk what that would accomplish.

Probably not a damned thing. If you can run something stronger, I think you're better off. UNR is an Atom processor thing anyway, I think. Some people say the GUI on UNR is too simple or dumb, but I like it a lot. It seems perfect for a small screen. It can be run in classic mode if it doesn't appeal.

Actually UNR runs really nice on a regular laptop. I had an old HP NC6000 running UNR 9.10 ) and it worked great. Its really nice for people who arnt computer literate. my mother couldnt use a computer to save her life, but she totally understood UNR in about 5 minutes.
