sudden winter storm in the south

It's not that common to get much snow here in the southern US, so when we get a good one, all hell breaks loose. These pictures were from the morning after a 4 to 8 inch overnight sleet/snowfall. I was on Interstate 85 west of Charlotte, North Carolina near the state line with South Carolina.

Image #2: Speedometer sitting on zero while stuck in traffic. Tip: try to never drive with a full bladder. 😮 I had an empty cup in the cab in case it got urgent.

  2. For some reason out there I got thirsty for a beer, but it wasn't yet the weekend, and I was driving.

  3. I used to live in VA and when it snowed everyone completely forgot how to drive…..

  4. Same here. Snow here is a real special occasion, like having an extra Christmas, almost.
