nc green party

Do you think the Green Party is worthwhile? Does the Green Party of the United States have any chance at all alongside the 2-sides-of-the-same-coin big money entrenched parties called the Democrats and Republicans? The phrase "pissin' in the wind" comes to mind.

I sent a donation to the North Carolina Green Party last year due to agreeing with several of the party platforms, but more importantly, I felt like the party was deserving of some interest due to being different than what we currently have ensconced in power. I mean ANYTHING that is not like it is now has to be better, right? There are people who feel this way about Ron Paul or Ralph Nader.

I was wondering if I should send in my renewal this year for the NC Green Party. They're not on the ballot in North Carolina as far as I know. This state has restrictive ballot laws that make it very hard for things to change. It's hard to have optimism with the way things are.

Renew? Yea, nay?

  1. I'd say renew. Both our main political parties have now pissed me off way beyond ever voting for either of them again, and the 'third force' are so split on everything that they're resorting to dirty tricks on their own members. I support a lot of the Green's policies so I've decided that's where my support goes.Someone's gotta be the first to stand up.

  2. Thank you. I did renew, though the party looks very unofficial in the "ballot access denied" state of North Carolina. They're tryin'.I had high hopes for Mr. Obama, though he's changing a lot these few months before the election. He's pandering and waffling, and I'm pretty disappointed. The initial excitement I had is now doing its usual draining away.I was registered to a certain party for 30 years but recently changed to "no affiliation" due to the mind-twisting doublespeak and logicfuck about that war.

  3. We noticed Obama sliding over towards Clinton, and maybe even towards McCain, over here too. That's the trouble with politicians, you don't know what they believe in and what they're just saying to get elected…
