Thinking back to how NC Senator Jesse Helms pronounced “morals.” It was “marls.”
1980’s, before I could pound out my vapid ditties on some obscure social media, I would write (postal mail) Senator Helms’ office about every little thing that was on my mind.
Example: “Could the Senator not refer to voters as fags and queers?”
Just simple things like that, lol. The office replied to single single letter. Replies were polite though I don’t remember the contents now.
Me, Washington DC, 2008. My hair was still black mostly.
“Religion was banned in Cuba years ago. Atheist Cuba.”
No, actually CIA church was banned and sent packin’
For some reason tonight, I felt the need to reactivate a Google Blogger account from 14 years ago.

I have this friend who is sure that their arrest is imminent due to politics and views. They post every day, [the date] + “still not in jail.” I suppose imprisonment is possible, but I doubt it.
Their views 100% match the government’s propaganda. I cannot imagine anything safer.
It might be drama queen syndrome. I love following this person. They’re kinda sweet and lovable, actually.

I don’t even know how to approach mocking this one. Get some to give away for Christmas, I guess.
It’s a talking, Bible-verse-reciting, clock featuring the voice of James Earl Jones.
Comes in a “big ten inch” (Aerosmith reference) or get the twelve, though nobody will be able to help you with that.
Rooting for a sports team is just out of my realm.
To me, it’s like picking some random thing, supporting it, and hoping it wins. Like, how about that Dillard’s Department Store! Watch out Boscov’s and Belk are coming for ya.
Let’s put it all in a public-money sinkhole, a stadium, so the fans can worship.
