silk cowboy

I’m not usually into this look, but it reminded me of Brad Pitt in Thelma and Louise.

  1. And I could hear the screams of a million dairymen crying, “Foul! This must not be called “milk,” for consumers are stupid and don’t know the difference between animal secretions and nut water. And it threatens our profits.”

    • I’ve been chewed on more than once by someone online, a 4-H leader I think, by throwing the definition at me: “Milk is the lacteal secretion, practically free from colostrum, obtained by the complete milking of one or more healthy cows.” FDA Sec. 131.110 Milk.

4-H’er says soy is NOT MILK! “Stop misusing the term.”

I think 4-H is an agribusiness shill along the lines of, “we don’t mistreat our cows, we LOVE our cows, they provide our livelihood.” Reminds me of Ringling saying the same about their elephants.

And I go n’unt uh! Milk: Any of various potable liquids resembling milk, such as coconut milk or soymilk. The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition.

It was the same person who jumped on me one time for complaining about HFCS. Said: “It’s EXACTLY the same as sugar.”

    • I also remember that for a time that plant-based milks were not allowed in the same cooler as dairy. I haven’t noticed if that’s still true.

      • There’s been numerous lobbying efforts at different levels of government is various countries to legally ban the use of the term “milk” in product labeling.
