   Don't ya just love her! Concerned with the wellbeing of all residents of the state. SC has got to be one of the USA's biggest corporate whores. Got some toxic waste to dump? Want tax breaks or even get paid to be here? Put up a building for you? Come on down!From one end of the state to the other are abandoned "corporate zones" out in the middle of nowhere. All look the same, all grown high with weeds.My favorite is when businesses complain that they're leaving because the residents are so uneducated or poorly trained. Well duh! It's hard to run a school system when the corporate pigs have completely encircled the public trough.—In spite of all that, Columbia is an exciting place and wonderfully Bohemian in spots. Charleston = nice. Myrtle Beach = world class fun.

   I got that name from some group of gay guys in SC who used to run a national contest by mail (pre-Internet) for The Oscars (The Academy Awards). We waited for our envelope each year with bated breath.
