You don't retire.
Here is what I have seen over my years of being in the workforce:
- Pensions and profit sharing replaced by 401k.
- 401k with 100% employer match go all the way down to no match at all.
- Year 2000, take half of my 401k savings and throw it away (dot com bubble burst).
- Faith shaken, transfer all 401k funds from risk portfolios to guaranteed income.
- Guaranteed income funds cease to exist, replaced by "low-risk" funds. Lots of fees there, too.
- Ability to do direct rollover to insured credit union account is eliminated.
Sounds so good!
Anytime I hear talk of privatizing Social Security, I immediately think, "count me out!"
Is a shame; i believe to the world a need a R évolution for the nations

It can go on for a long time as is, and with modest changes, even longer. The financial elites want that pot of money badly. I don't want to see Social Security "casinoed".If it ever gets dismantled or privatized, it will never be given to me to be placed in a locked account of my choice. It will be given over to the financial sector so it can be evaporated before I ever get much of it. It really is my money. My employers and I put in in there. Those wars are the life/money sucking unsustainable beasts.
I thought Social Security is not sustainable.
