Oh nice! This is most excellent. π
An interesting thing she did starting ten years ago, she became a vegetarian. She just announced it one day, and the only reason she cited was "I think it's healthy."

Beautiful picture, and I think she's right. We eat vegetarian most days of the year (almost 20 years now) and it sure helps with those nasty digesting problems.
I'm not strictly a vegetarian but I do keep any kind of meat to a bare minimum. π

I can see that. Along these lines, I no longer view a meatless meal as incomplete, but if I want meat, I still eat it. I went somewhere the other day where one of the two meal choices was veal. I thought that was freakin' careless, as everybody has heard of the particularly nasty conditions under which veal is produced. I'd rather have a big hunk of fish.My mom sometimes has a toasted bagel with a slather of sunflower seed butter on it as a between-meal snack. I like the things she comes up with. One of my favorite summertime vegetarian dinners is mac and cheese and a Dr Pepper. π
π I just remembered I forgot to put sliced roma tomatoes on it! I knew I was missing something! The four of us must go through a dozen romas a week. Even Mia loves them.

Yummmm, I'll take two.
Awwww…charming photo Dave. I love it. She's a beautiful woman who had a handsome son. I go vegetarian one day a week. I won't give up dairy, just all meat, including fish. I might go two days in the future. One sandwich I came up with was Naan bread (flat bread), spread w/ cream cheese, pesto on the other side, then layered with thin slices of red, green and yellow peppers, onion, alfalfa sprouts and….I think that was it. Sliced cucumbers are delish on this too but we were out. Two nights a week, I fast for 12 hours. That might not sound like much but it seems to keep me on que, so to speak. There are times when I am not hungry at the evening meal at all so when I feel that way, I shouldn't eat is my thinking. A hot cup of tea is all I'll have.
Hi Dave and Mom! π
Very sweet! π
You both do take a superb photo!
