I travel a lot for work, and almost every fast food place I visit has syrupy “Christian” music playing.

It certainly doesn’t bring me closer to God, if there is one, it just makes me think the owner is a controlling nutcase enjoying a temporary captive audience. 🙄

Long time ago, this is how you processed those “special” pics, especially if were gay:

— shoot in black and white and process at home.

— know someone who worked in a local photo lab.

— mail color off to York. Sometimes they would do them.

— use a Polaroid.

Just got a write-off EOB this week. Touching.

The term “write off” on a medical bill or insurance EOB is so precious. Yes, make me, the one with no choice in it, feel like I’m causing your suffering.

I quit a small locally-owned pharmacy where I’d done business for 25 years because the pharmacist/owner had to mention his write off to me every visit. Then, after the ACA was underway, he lost his mind. He bitched out my doctor one time because the Rx was incomplete.

The last time I was in the store, I told him, “Target has no problem with any of these things.” 😀

EOB = explanation of benefits
ACA = Obamacare

Back when “portable TV” meant something that one young healthy person could lift without ripping apart a rotator cuff, crushing a back, or getting a hernia.

Sometimes you knew the carry handle on the top of it was a cruel joke.

I predict a roaring black market for them in those been-f****d-over countries, like Germany, Cuba, anywhere in Latin America really. Such a gift will help them come into the fold of righteousness.

I could eat it every day.

I could live off this Honduran, Salvadoran, Mexican. Maybe throw in occasional Jamaican and a Golden Corral buffet.
