usual linux fun

Manjaro or Linux Mint. I’ve used both and both are superb. I’ve currently had the Manjaro on for months.

Over the decades, I’ve had many including Slackware and Debian. Those have been awhile.

Such agonizing decisions. For me they are all fun though some bring on occasional profanity.

Put that /home directory in a separate partition and you can distro swap lickety split.

we all waiting to pay more taxes

I phrase that I view as en eye roller:

“I’d gladly pay a little more in taxes if”

From that alone I know what to look for in the profile. Certain things regularly pop up.

You go right ahead and pay as long as it’s your taxes specifically.

morning dance music and coffee

I like morning music with my coffee on a day off. Something with a nice melody and an easy beat, thumpa-thumpa-thumpa.

Years ago I called it my “dance off a hangover in the morning” music. Hangovers are too devastating for me now, so I’m more careful.

“Drop the Gun” by Be Svendsen is a good one. This artist has a good selection of pleasures.

kenly 95 truck stop

The convenience mart gift shop at the Kenly 95 truck stop is huge. These pics don’t show much. There’s a lot more. There are even entire trucks parked in here for display.

social media facade

Someone I know is worried that they seem to be about the only one who is not happy.

Don’t worry. Everybody is deliriously happy on social media. We all groom it.

Some even have a fixed camera smile that’s the exact same in 10,000 selfies. At least don’t do the duck mouth. 🦆☺️

Many people in real life are driving the toilet at night and hurling sweat and everything else. 🤢

coffee delayed

Patiently waiting my turn at the hotel coffee bar this morning as someone slowly dumps in like 15 sugars into their coffee, tasting it and stirring after every few, blocking the entire coffee area.

I wanted to say, “take that shit over to your table and do it there.” Your free coffee has to be so exquisitely sweetened.

I was somewhat entertained by it all.

mall softcore spank mags

Magazines seen at the mall today.

The one on the left was $40. It was on the order of triple thick with content. A quick look at the pictures showed them to be superb, but why not fire up a web browser instead, save the $40, and go out to eat.

Well, ok. I guess seeing it in print was a little more rewarding than on a computer monitor.

friends?

I run across some whose recurrent theme is:

— friend loyalty
— friend betrayal
— getting stabbed in the back

I don’t understand this at all.

santa at the mall

A Santa at the mall. All that’s missing is a Marlboro between the fingers.
