This has served me well for many years: Cascade Fresh non-fat plain yogurt with Grape-Nuts and a splash of honey. YUMMY! If I don't have the yogurt/Grape-Nuts/honey, I like to have a giant bowl of oatmeal (not instant). Also, YUMMY!
I'm no health nut, sometimes I like scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, and GRITS! Do you know what grits are? ๐ Ever had any? As a child, I thought they were repulsive, but now I love 'em. Many local restaurants offer "grits and shrimp" on the menu, which is delicious.
As for yogurt, the reason I mentioned the brand Cascade Fresh is because I like my yogurt to be bursting with flavor, almost as pungent as buttermilk. Cascade Fresh is reasonably priced and kicks with flavor. Some other brands, Brown Cow and Stoneyfield Farm, are overpriced, weak, and taste a little like glue. What a waste of money.
If I can't get my brand, I get the store brand or the Dannon. They will do.
What do you like for breakfast? Beer and a cigarette? I've done that, lol.
Those are good sometimes, Noah. Here's one I like for breakfast, and you might like sometimes: a slice of cold leftover pizza direct from the refrigerator. :coffee:
For breakfeast, I enjoy a bowl of cereal, or an eggo. ๐
i think they make porridge out of grits, am i right?
Mike,I'm not sure what porridge is made of, but anytime I eat grits or oatmeal, I think of Charles Dickens' little Oliver Twist holding up his bowl for a second helping of gruel: "Please, sir, I want some more".:p
:yikes: OMG ๐ I like cold peeza too. Especialy when you pop it in the microwave, and cook it for a few minutes. And for some odd reason, I like it when it gets really soggy.
Good to know I'm not the only one who likes grits. I prefer them with redeye gravy or butter and black pepper. ๐
Yummm. I'll have some!
Now you have me thinking of sausage gravy and bisquits…with a beer of course…
All at the same time? That's hard core! :yikes: LOL
I dont know what grits are. But whatever t are, Im sure that they are made of wheat.
in Chile if you drink beer at breakfast we say "Desayuno de campeones", "Champions Breakfast" ๐
hey suribe! I've never gotten up and had one for breakfast, though a few times I've still been up from the night before drinking one. Getting older has forcibly calmed me down though.
maybe you should! ๐ In Chile, if you wake up with the hangover :faint: (in Chile we say "caรฑa" or "resaca") you must fight fire with fire :Dcheers!
aka, "the hair of the dog that bit ya". this is fun!
